Event/Athlete Guide contains overall schedule, maps and other information for both athletes and spectators

All schedules are subject to change.

Athlete Check-in:

All Empire State Winter Games registered athletes will receive athlete credentials and athlete uniform, and be eligible to march in the "Parade of Athletes" at the Opening Ceremony after receiving their athlete jacket. 

Please note: Uniform sizes are first come, first served!
Athlete Check-in is located at the Conference Center at Lake Placid, 2608 Main St. Lake Placid 12946. The hours are:
  • Wednesday: 4 - 6 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9:30 - 4 p.m. 

Thursday, Feb. 2:The Opening Ceremony begins at 6 p.m. Athletes will line up in the USA Rink, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and arriving no later than 5:45 p.m. Use the "Athlete Entrance" on Cummins Road between the Olympic Center and the High School. An official 2017 Empire State Games jacket is required to march in the parade of athletes. No exceptions. Jackets will not be available at the Opening Ceremony. They must be obtained from Athlete Check-in at the Conference Center at Lake Placid during the times listed above. 

Empire State Winter Games never charges an admission fee for spectators. However, some of our Olympic sports venues charge an entry fee. If attending the Olympic venues, an Olympic Sites Passport is available for purchase at each venue for $35. The pass includes admittance to Whiteface gondola (foot passengers only — this is not a lift ticket), Olympic Jumping Complex, Olympic Sliding Center and the Lake Placid Olympic Museum.  The Olympic Center, which plays host to figure skating,  Squirt hockey and short track speed skating, offers free admission to all events.  The Opening Ceremony on Thursday, February 2 at 6 pm, is FREE and open to the public.
Titus Mountain and Mt. Pisgah both allow excellent viewing from their respective base lodges and require no admittance fee for spectating.
