Ski & Snowboard / Rail Jam

This exciting new event at the 2018 Empire State Winter Games will feature a fun and challenging course of rail slides for snowboarders and skiers alike. Consisting of 10-20 rails, hips, and features, this premium competition “Mega Plaza" course set up is sure to challenge racers of all skill levels. With $8,000 worth of cash prizes on the line, competition for a place on the podium will be fierce.

  • Under 15 - 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
  • Under 18 - 1:00 - 2:45 p.m.
  • Open Class - 3:00 - 4:45 p.m.

Competition Start 6:00 p.m.

  • Heat 1: Girls/Boys Ski U15
  • Heat 2: Girls/Boys SB U15
  • Heat 3: Girls/Boys Ski U18
  • Heat 4: Girls/Boys SB U18
  • Heat 5: Girls/Boys Ski Open
  • Heat 6: Girls/Boys SB Open

Online registration will end at noon on Friday, February 2. Race Day registration will take place from 9 - 11 a.m. in the Rental Shop.

  • Adaptive: $50


Rail Jam will be judged by USASA rule book. Events will be run in full jam style. Judging will be based on overall performance. Judges will be of high caliber and highly certified. Athletes will get as many drops as personal performance allows. Athletes will hike the course during event heats. Heat time will depend on field sizes, ranging from 15-40 minutes.
